You have achieved a nice dense, evenly covered fabric with your even, lined stitches :-)
I always soak & wash any cotton/cotton-based fabric that needs embroidery or sewing (including sewing a fall on saree) -- it's become second nature. But I didn’t know about the steam-check !
Great post !muskaanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13125166115615109271noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5886770962693197798.post-31183515595405548462015-06-08T10:50:02.836-07:002015-06-08T10:50:02.836-07:00Great job..... your flower looks beautiful....good...Great job..... your flower looks beautiful....good to wash the fabric first.....Bezig Plushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13379833948542137373noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5886770962693197798.post-48961266676204715172015-06-08T05:04:49.345-07:002015-06-08T05:04:49.345-07:00It looks beautifully and evenly filled! It looks beautifully and evenly filled!Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15274345764787048662noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5886770962693197798.post-82967835596489777092015-06-08T04:24:26.492-07:002015-06-08T04:24:26.492-07:00I did take multiple sewing classes (not embroidery...I did take multiple sewing classes (not embroidery) but they always said to wash the fabric first. It can be tempting not to because the use a sizing in most new fabrics that may seem nice because of the stiffness but on a machine it can make the needle skip and they said most of all the cotton shrinks too. I did not know that you could kind of fold that chain stitch up like that, I always wondered about that tinny bit of fabric you could see.
Your practice flower looks great and fun to view the close up.Madtatter80https://www.blogger.com/profile/15047145271493817811noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5886770962693197798.post-79301708848325394462015-06-08T03:17:15.203-07:002015-06-08T03:17:15.203-07:00I love the way your flower looks!
