Awash

At the beginning of the year we were drought stricken, desperate for rain. Well, we've had rain. I took these pictures this morning from inside the house:

At least I have a house that is dry and snug. The poor sheep are not so lucky:
It would be good to have some moderation, but we can't control the weather so it is what it is.

I've been working on the sock:
The good thing about working with five needles is that you can try the sock on before it's finished. I wanted to be sure that the heel was neat and well fitting. I'll probably try the sock on again to decide where to start the toe decreases.

  1. Oh my gosh - poor Jack must be worried about all the animals and keeping them safe.
Love the idea of 5 needles and the sock is looking great.

  2. So far this year we have escaped really bad flooding but there's still time. Poor sheep, not much grass left is there.
Looks like the sock is coming along nicely. I like to knit on 4 needles I just can't get on with circular.
    Hope the weather improves soon.

  8. Poor sheep, Unfortunately you needed the rain and got it, someone did the rain dance near you. It's actually pouring with rain here, would you like some more?
The sock looks good, never tried knitting socks but a great idea to try it on as you knit.
