Amigurumi Cat

I crocheted another animal from the pattern book I was given, this one for a baby yet to be born. I'm not sure what the definition of amigurumi is, so I may be stating the obvious, but I really like the way the parts are crocheted in 3-D. The pieces of the toy have to be sewn to each other of course,  but there are no seams in the different pieces. So making this is not quite as fiddly as it looks.

  1. I remember seeing that magazine in the newsagent, but didn't buy it. You're so fast with them! - I loved the Mouse. I can crochet the pieces, but putting them together is beyond my capabilities, so I now leave toymaking to the other grandmother!

    1. I was a bit worried about that too, but it turned out to be easier than I expected.

    2. @ Maureen - Have you thought about crocheting or knitting toy patterns that allow you to crochet/knit in the round and pick up stitches as you go so there are less sewing/joining at the end?

  4. These are super cute and make really great gifts. Nice to hear they are easier than they appear to crochet.
