Spun

I've been spinning wool again. It's summer here now, no need for woolly hats. But I am working on gifts for my brother's family, who live in the Northern Hemisphere. I dyed this wool this morning, enough for two hats. I've found a lacy pattern I want to try for the first one. Then I'll decide whether to make the second one the same, or use a different pattern. Decisions, decisions!

  2. It's always fun to plan projects and choose the right yarn; I have a son who is about to move to Canada, and the first thing I did when I had recovered from hearing the news was to choose the warmest knitting pattern I could find! - and order the supplies.

    1. My son spent a year in Canada. He was travelling light, so I didn't make much knitwear, but I did tat him a maple leaf book mark. :-)

    2. Ooo, may I ask for the pattern? -please? - because in two weeks'time we are going down to Canberra for their Engagement celebrations, and a maple leaf bookmark would be a most appropriate gift to take - one for each of them.

    3. Maureen, I've sent you an e-mail, but for the record, the pattern I used was by Gale Marshall, but I don't know how to find it now!
