Quantiesque

This is Quantiesque snowflake by Jon. Great pattern, thanks Jon. I give away a lot of my tatting, but this one I am keeping for myself. It looks great under a glass vase of flowers. This is made in size 20 thread, and is 12cm in diameter.

  1. Beautiful tatting, Jane! And it's amazingly big, I thought it is max. 7 cm in diameter!

  2. I'm so glad you're keeping this! Jon's pattern is beautiful (I love the Celtic look of it), and it's definitely on my list of things to tat. It's great that you're using it as a doily!

I'm so glad I've kept a lot of my tatting. Many of my items are on my traveling Christmas tree (for our events), and some are one of a kind. It's very satisfying to sell or give things away; but I also like having my tatting on display around the house. I have motifs in frames or even on candles. And several windows have 'suncatchers' hanging on them year-round. However, my house doesn't look overly 'lacy' - it's all very subtle. Of course, I wear my tatted pendants often. It's fun to get compliments on them. Tatting is just so versatile!

    1. If I look about my house, I do find quite a bit of tatting. But it does make nice gifts too.
