Autumn Leaves scarf

I think the leaf pattern might have shown up better in a solid colour, but I like the variegated yarn. It's the wool I spun on Sunday and dyed on Monday.  The pattern is  Branching Out by Susan Lawrence, which  I found  on Ravelry.

  1. what a wonderful scarf! - reminds me of the children's story, Pelle's New Coat - made from handspun, hand-dyed wool! I can't spin but I love knitting.

    1. I don't know that story. I'd be happy to have such a coat tho.

  2. Hi Jane, well done:)
I love the thread, the colors and the pattern as well.
But I have a question: here in Hungary it is spring, nearly summer. Really hot weather.
And you knit nowadays winter accessories. Is it winter in your country now?
    Obvious conclusion: YES ......:)))

  3. Yes, I live in South Africa in the Southern Hemisphere, so here it is early winter.Actually, it would make more sense to knit for winter in the summer, but cold weather makes me get my needles out. Working with wool isn't always pleasant in hot weather, is it?
